In 2014, the California Sustainable Groundwater Management Act was signed into law to provide local agencies with the framework to manage groundwater basins in a sustainable manner, recognizing that groundwater is most effectively managed at the local level.
With the passage of the California Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) in 2014, the South Kings Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) and its Board of Directors are participating in the implementation of the SGMA regulations and working to protect the interests of groundwater users within the South Kings GSA boundary.
SGMA will affect everyone and we want to hear from you! Complete the Stakeholder Survey to voice your concerns and provide your valuable input for the development of the GSP.
